The Pink House of Plum Island

The Pink House on Plum Island in Newbury, MA. The Pink House is said to be a spite house. The tale says that a husband and wife divorced and the wife wanted an exact replica of their former home together built as part of the settlement. The husband honored the request but built the house on a salt marsh. Today, the house is set to be demolished but locals keep appealing for the restoration and preservation of this beautiful home.
